Where is ARCTIVA manufactured?
Does ARCTIVA test on animals? Are your products cruelty-free?
Our products are not tested on animals.
Can I use ARCTIVA products even if I don't have eczema, psoriasis, or rosacea?
One of the most common remarks we get is how moisturizing our formulas are; yes, they can be used to hydrate and moisturize your skin even without skin conditions.
Can I use ARCTIVA products while pregnant?
We haven't done testing specifically related to Arctiva products and pregnancy so we'd recommend checking in with your doctor prior to using Arctiva while pregnant.
Can I use ARCTIVA with other products?
You're welcome to use ARCTIVA along with other products. We recommend applying ARCTIVA first to clean skin. Our cream absorbs faster than any cream we’ve seen but, we suggest waiting 10 minutes to let the cream soak in before applying your other products.
What bottle size is right for me?
Everyone’s skin is different and the severity of the condition from person to person varies. Our recommended directions of use indicate applying our products twice per day. However, our cream can be applied as often as you like, due to our clean ingredients. Our airless pump contains 4.5 ounces of cream. This is generous compared to competitive products but depending on how often you apply the cream and how much of an area is needed to be treated, will determine how long the bottle will last.
How do I get the product to come out of the pump the first time I use it?
ARCTIVA products are packaged in an airless pump. We have seen it take 10-20 pumps before cream dispenses. If your pump included a little plug that comes with your pump, keep it away from young children; it could be a choking hazard. Its main use is to ensure no leaking and prevents the pump from being pressed. If your pump doesn't prime after about 20 pumps and begin dispensing cream, it may be because the disc may have locked in shipping. There is a simple fix. At the bottom of your pump is a little air hole. You can "unlock" your pump by sticking something small and pointy into the hole and applying a little pressure to unlock the disc. Then begin priming your pump again and cream will dispense.
At what temperature should I store my ARCTIVA products?
We recommend storing ARCTIVA products between 32° F and 75° F to help maintain the ingredients' effectiveness and to keep your cream in tip-top shape. That being said, the cream has excellent stability. If you like your cream cold when you apply it, keeping it refrigerated, such as in a cosmetic mini-fridge, won't hurt the cream and will increase your cooling sensation when you apply it.
When do my ARCTIVA products expire?
ARCTIVA’s packaging contains an expiration date or best-used-by date. Currently, products are tested to match label claim up to 12 months from the date of manufacture.
Skin Concern Questions
- What causes eczema and what does eczema-prone skin look like?
- What does rosacea-prone skin look like?
- Can I use ARCTIVA products during a flare up?
- Can I use ARCTIVA products even if I don't have psoriasis, psoriasis or rosacea?
What causes eczema and what does eczema-prone skin look like?
Consistent with the National Eczema Foundation, we don’t know what exactly causes eczema (often called atopic dermatitis). The American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) describes atopic dermatitis as a complex skin disease caused by an interaction between a person’s environment and their genes. People with eczema tend to have an overactive immune system that responds to topical irritants or allergens by producing inflammation.
There are many risk factors for eczema. Some causes of eczema include stress or allergens. Having extremely dry skin, coming in contact with allergic substances in shampoo or cleansers, having certain food allergies, hay fever (also called rhinitis), living in cold mountainous areas or places that are cold and damp for at least part of the year, or living in places that are swampy and hot: all of these environmental risk factors can contribute to the severity, intensity, and frequency of an eczema flare up if you are genetically predisposed to this skin disease.
It can occur anywhere on the body but is most common behind the knees and inside the elbows. It is also very common on the neck, back, legs, and hands.
We certainly encourage you to consult your physician for a proper diagnosis.
What does rosacea-prone skin look like?
Rosacea-prone skin is characterized by redness, visible blood vessels, pustules, and thickening skin. It is most commonly seen on the face. We certainly encourage you to consult your physician for a proper diagnosis.
Can I use ARCTIVA products during a flare up?
We encourage you to use Arctiva products during a flare-up to provide fast relief.
Can I use ARCTIVA products even if I don't have psoriasis, psoriasis or rosacea?
One of the most common remarks we get is how moisturizing our formulas are; yes, they can be used to hydrate and moisturize your skin even without skin conditions.
